CREATIVE 1. Partnership Funding For Arts Businesses Those in the arts business can obtain a grant of up to S$50,000 to stage arts events. Priority will be given to new projects that have the potential to become high-profile annual/biennial events.
2. Promotion of Singapore Design Overseas Partnership Programme (OPP) Design companies taking part in prestigious international design events can enjoy dollar-for-dollar co-funding of up to S$25,000 to cover expenses such as exhibition and prototype construction, production of marketing collaterals and promotional activities for media and industry partners.
3. Publishing Grant Scheme (Publisher) Book publishers can apply for a grant of up to S$10,000 (per title) to publish literary works by local writers.
EDUCATION & TRAINING 1. Skills Development Fund (SDF) For Training Providers If you are in the business of providing training courses, you can get your courses funded by the Skills Development Fund (SDF).
2. Skills Redevelopment Programme (SRP) For Training Providers If you're a training provider whose programmes are certifiable, you can get your courses approved under SRP and businesses that send their employees for your courses will receive training allowances.
ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY 1. Fast-Track Environmental and Water Technologies Incubator Scheme (Fast-Tech) Aspiring start-ups with promising technical ideas can apply to be housed in approved incubators and seek funding of up to S$300,000 over 2 years.
2. Technology Pioneer (TechPioneer) Scheme Innovators in the environment or water industry can get a grant of up to S$1 million to facilitate market adoption of their technologies. TechPioneer will disburse up to S$1 million to your customers for them to adopt your technology. You'll have to repay the grant over 10 years, paying a minimum of 1% of your company's gross sales. Any outstanding amount after a decade will be converted to a loan repayable over the next 5 years at the prevailing prime +3% interest rate.
3. Water Efficiency Fund (WEF) A fund targeted at getting companies to look into efficient ways of managing their water demand through recycling, use of alternate sources of water supply as well as initiative to promote water conservation.
FOOD & BEVERAGE 1. CRAFT For Chefs (CRAFT) Send your chefs, cooks and other kitchen staff to CRAFT programmes, and WDA will fund part of the course fees and the trainee's salary during the apprenticeship training. Trainees will graduate with one of the following nationally-recognised qualifications under the WSQ framework: F&B WSQ Certificate in Food Preparation, Higher Certificate in Culinary Skills or Advanced Certificate in Culinary Skills.
2. WSQ Certificate In F&B Service Send your staff for subsidised training that will culminate in the following nationally-recognised qualifications: WSQ Certificate in Food Preparation or WSQ Food Hygiene, or on WSQ Culinary Scholarships for diploma courses.
MARINE 1. Marine Re-skilling for Employment Programme (MariNE) A grant available to companies to re-skill workers to do tradesmen jobs in the marine industry.
MARITIME 1. Maritime Attachment Programme (MAP) Broaden the horizons of your staff by tapping on the grant to send those who are 45 years old or younger for overseas attachment. MAP co-funds up to 50% of the qualifying expenses, up to a maximum of S$50,000 per trainee per attachment.
2. Maritime Cluster Fund Course Fee Subsidy (MCF-CFS) You can send your staff for a wide range of MCF-CFS endorsed training programmes and receive funding for 30% of the course fees for non-examinable training, or up to 6o% of course fees for certifiable training based on written examinations.
3. Overseas Trainer Attachment Programme (OTAP) Tap on this fund to rope in overseas trainers from your sister companies or business associates to train your staff.
4. TRIDENT Platform (TRIDENT) Do you need funds for R&D, or test-bedding your maritime technological innovations? TRIDENT funds up to 50% of your project costs.
PROCESS 1. Process Industry Re-Skilling For Employment (ProcESS) If your business is in the engineering services, petrochemical or refining sectors, you can get a grant to train new employees without industry experience.
RETAIL 1. National Retail Scholarships Programme Nominate promising existing or new employees for the National Retail Scholarship, which provides funding for retail-related courses offered by The Retail Academy of Singapore in conjunction with the University of Stirling. You get full funding for diploma courses, and up to $8,400 and $16,100 for degree and masters candidates respectively. Those who are sponsored for the latter two will be bonded to the retail industry for two years.
2. Retail Professional Traineeship Programme (RPTP) Retailers can obtain a grant to hire and train professionals, managers and executives without retail experience.
SOCIAL ENTERPRISE 1. ComCare Enterprise Fund (CEF) Obtain a grant of up to S$300,000 to start a social enterprise that helps disadvantaged Singaporeans, including ex-offenders, the older, less educated folks and those recovering from psychiatric illnesses, become self-reliant. |
