ASME and Lianhe Zaobao acknowledged 52 deserving Winners at the Singapore Prestige Brand Award (SPBA) 2009 Presentation Ceremony on 10 December 2009. Held at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, Mrs Lim Hwee Hua, Minister, Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Finance and Transport, was the Guest-of-Honour at the event. Honouring successful homegrown brands for the extensive planning and execution of branding strategies since 2002, SPBA has established itself as a prestigious branding Award that local brands strive to achieve. Attaining this esteemed mark of success serves as a benchmark for participants, and is an excellent springboard for brands pursuing expansion plans both locally and abroad. Each year, selected Candidates are put through a stringent and rigorous judging process by a panel of judges before the Winners for each Category are finally selected. Four outstanding brands were unveiled as the Overall Winners: Toast Box for SPBA – Promising Brands; Xpress for SPBA – Established Brands; Thomson Medical Centre Ltd for SPBA – Heritage Brands; and Best World Lifestyle for SPBA – CitiBusiness Regional Brands. Thomson Medical Centre Ltd was also the first Brand to be inducted into the SPBA – Hall of Fame. Thomson Medical Centre Ltd was previously the Winner of SPBA 2007 – Established Brands and SPBA 2008 – Established Brands. Bee Cheng Hiang was voted Most Popular Brand by way of SMS votes from the public. All SPBA 2009 Winners were presented with trophies at the Award Presentation Ceremony. |
